Here is a glimpse of how I work with the placenta:

I use dedicated equipment to process placenta to avoid cross contamination. I follow OSHA standards of sanitization and food safety standards, ensuring that every step of the process is held with utmost respect, honor, and care for your sacred placenta.

Following the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) method: Placenta is washed, steamed with warming herbs, dehydrated overnight or 12 hours, then powdered and carefully transferred into vegetable capsules. Standard yield for capsules is around 180-200 capsules, but depending on size, yield can vary.

Viola! You have easy-to-ingest nutrient dense capsules that you can take daily to support your postpartum wellness.

What happens after baby arrives?

Here’s what to expect:

Bring a small cooler with you to the hospital or birth center to store your placenta

Tell your birth team that you plan on keeping the placenta and request it be placed over ice immediately following birth.

Let me know when your baby is born—I’ll come to pick up your placenta the same day or the next morning!

Your placenta will be processed using strict safety and sanitation standards.

Once encapsulated over the next couple of days, your placenta capsules will be delivered directly to your home, mindfully packaged, and ready to support your recovery.
